Principal Advisors
Victor Lapointe, BA
Victor leverages his 20+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, as well as his time spent as President of Pajak Engineering, to mentor RES’ senior leadership team. Since retiring in 2005, Victor’s sales, marketing, and customer relationship advice has proved invaluable to Resource Energy Solutions. Victor remains active in the business community by serving on the boards of several oil and gas companies. He has also been involved in many industry associations including CAPP, PSAC, and the Oilmen’s Association.
Allen Saurette, BSc
Allen has nearly 30 years of experience working in the technology sector, with a primary focus on software solutions. He has spent 15 years providing reliable technology services for end-user clients at two large oil and gas companies. Sales to distinguished companies like Mercedes-Benz, McDonald’s Corporation, Dunn & Bradstreet, and Bank of Montreal attest to Allen’s ability to develop compelling value propositions that appeal to the world’s elite. Allen’s experience, gained through his successful involvement in positioning start-up private companies for strategic exit opportunities, has provided many valuable lessons for the RES management team. Allen is also fondly regarded as the past Entrepreneur in Residence at Calgary Technologies Inc.
Robin Auld, MBA, PMP, P.Eng
Robin is an exceptional program manager, business entrepreneur, and corporate strategist. He offers consultation and direction to the RES senior leadership team regarding market expansion, investor relations, and growth potential. Robin has nearly 20 years of experience developing business technology solutions and has been recognized nationally for his exceptional ability.
Jan Eden
Jan has lead thousands of business owners and their valued employees to realize heightened success for the last 20 years. In addition to providing sound leadership advice to RES’ senior management team, she spends her time successfully facilitating her business programs, which include 'Sales Experts in Training', 'Setting Up For Success', 'CEO In Training', and 'The Reality MBA Program'. Jan is also recognized for hosting her own weekly business reality talk show, 'Business Talks'.
Greg Luoma, PhD (Chemistry), MSc (Chemistry), BSc Hon. (Biology and Chemistry)
Dr. Luoma was the Chief Technology Officer at Canada’s largest defense company, General Dynamics (GD). He provided technological assessments and expertise for GD's corporate office to identify promising technologies and acquisitions for GD and its divisions. His technology strategies resulted in a successful program that produced over 15% in annual revenue and earnings growth, and attracted nearly $10M in annual co-funding from provincial and federal government R&D agencies. He also formalized and documented processes for technical submissions for the Scientific Research and Engineering Development (SRED) tax credit program for GD Canada. This led to annual tax savings of over $10M and earned him a special status with Canada Revenue Agency.
Ingy Randhawa, P. Eng. Alberta, Canada; Charted Engineer (U.K.); IEEE member
Ingy Randhawa is a seasoned information technology (IT) leader with extensive executive-level experience. During his 26 years at the City of Calgary, he managed many of the challenges facing information technology entities during a time of unprecedented growth and change.
Leading a team of over 450 IT professionals as the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) of the City of Calgary, he championed effective IT governance, enterprise architecture, ITIL-based process implementations, business process reviews, and application lifecycle frameworks. His responsibilities also included all aspects of mobility, with extensive data and multimedia processing requirements.
His expertise encompasses public sector transformation, spanning major trends such as citizen service, performance management, e-government, integrated service delivery, benchmarking, and social networks.
He was a board member of Calgary Technologies Inc. and a member of the Mount Royal University Advisory Committee.
A graduate of the University of Southampton with a degree in electrical engineering, Ingy began his career in the United Kingdom before being recruited by the City of Calgary in 1982. He is a Professional Engineer (Alberta), a Charted Engineer (U.K.), and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Jennifer McNeill, Chief Executive Officer of Planetary Growth Ltd
Ms. McNeill has 30 years of business, technology, and strategy consulting experience. She has built a solid reputation as an IT business expert. She has worked tirelessly to pioneer new methods to enhance workplace productivity via applying technology. Her reputation is further enhanced through her international public-speaking engagements. She speaks to information technology audiences and at technology tradeshows, and provides insight to numerous industry publications. Ms. McNeill also lectures regularly at the University of Calgary’s Executive MBA Program and is currently writing a book entitled "Delivering IT Projects On Time and Within Budget".
